The main differences between Ceramic, Carbon, and Dyed window tint are longevity and heat rejection: Dyed window tint is widely considered an entry-level film because of its low heat rejection properties, if any, as well as its tendency to fade, de-laminate and bubble up over time. Next, we have Carbon window tint: Carbon window tint is considered a mid-grade film because of its heat rejection properties, which range from 31%-66% IR Rejection; although rare, there is a chance that you may experience some low-angle haze with some carbon films. Finally, we have Ceramic window tint: Ceramic window tint offers the best heat rejection with percentages ranging from 70%-97% IR Rejection. Luckily, you won't experience any fading, de-laminating, or bubbling with either Carbon or Ceramic window tint.
